KIDS (Kollecting Individual Donated Supplies)
Harris employees may contribute personally-purchased or gently-used school supplies through KIDS. Donation drop-off schoolhouse boxes, called "Reddie" boxes, are located in key areas at each GCSD campus. Once sufficient donation quantities are collected, supplies are then divided based on the needs identified by the schools.These requests must come in written communication (electronic mail is acceptable). Some examples of these special request items are two liter plastic bottles, boxes, egg cartons, cardboard rolls, recycled library books, etc.
Schools may also request items for one-time use (e.g. class projects) by contacting the HERO program. The following information is required:
- School name
- Special item(s) requested
- Quantity desired
- Date needed
- School contact name and phone number
Below is a list of items that have been distributed in the past. This list is representative of what has been available in the past and does not reflect the HERO inventory at any given time. Supplies, content and quantity vary based on employee donations via the "Reddie" boxes.
