2005 HERO Back to School Supply Drive
Exceeds Collection Goal

HERO GOAL: Put together 350 backpacks filled with supplies.
HERO COLLECTED: 432 completed backpacks!

Harris volunteers and retirees gathered on Friday, August 12, for a "Backpack Packing Party" in building 102 on the GCSD campus. Thanks to the generous support of local Harris employees, the final number resulting from the drive was 432 completed backpacks, which will be donated to children in Brevard County. Enough supplies were donated for several more backpacks, and monetary donations will go toward purchasing more backpacks this weekend. The campaign expects to hit 440 backpacks when all is said and done!

Thank you to all who participated in the 2005 HERO Back to School Supply Drive. Whether you contributed, collected, delivered, packed them up, or distributed, we appreciate your enthusiasm and support.

The HERO Committee would like to give a special "thank you" to our various lobby receptionists, as well as the HERO team members who, as usual, gave it their all.

Thanks again for the support from Brevard County Harris employees!
